Trait – Holy Arm of the Law
You belong to a specific temple dedicated to St. Cuthbert of the Cudgel. You have a residence there, and you can perform religious ceremonies and offer sermons drawn from the sacred teachings of your faith. While near your temple, you can call upon acolytes and fellow priests for assistance, provided the assistance you ask for is not hazardous and you remain in good standing with your temple. Additionally, when you are in a location that has a temple, shrine, or other presence of your faith, you can expect to receive free healing, care, and religious services for yourself and your adventuring companions from others aligned with your faith.

Class Features:
Divine Sense
As an action, you open your awareness to the divine. Until the end of your next turn, you know the location of any celestial, fiend, or undead creature within 50 feet of you, regardless of any intervening obstacles. Within the same radius, you also detect the presence of any place or object that has been consecrated or desecrated.
Lay on Hands
Your blessed touch can heal wounds. You have a pool of healing power that replenishes when you take a long rest. With that pool, you can restore a total number of hit points equal to your paladin level times 5. As an action, you can touch a creature and draw power from the pool to restore any number of hit points to that creature, up to the maximum amount remaining in your pool. Alternatively, you can expend 5 hit points from your pool of healing to cure the target of one disease or neutralize one poison affecting it. You can cure multiple diseases and neutralize multiple poisons with a single use of Lay on Hands, expending hit points separately for each one. This feature has no effect on an undead creature or a construct.

Story
After inadvertently opening and then after a wild adventure closing a portal to the Lower Planes of hell to Flaness, Wyrmslayer and his group of adventurers where given a hero’s celebration. During the festivities, he and Erde, the daughter of Piter Uldred the Chief Constable of Critwall, ducked into a side room for a romantic liaison. They were both caught shortly after the act was consummated, but Wyrmslayer made one of his famous daring escapes.

Nine months later, Erde gave birth to a son, Hallack. She gave custody of Halleck to her father, shaved her head and became a nun in service to St. Cuthbert. Piter always told Halleck the truth of his birth and raised him like a son. It became very apparent as he got older that St. Cuthbert had chosen Hallack to one his champion’s. He is strong, wise, a forceful personality and an unerring devotion to the law. He quickly made his way through the constable training academy and became a proud lawman of the city of Critwall. However, his service to the law and blindness to the political intricacies have made him some enemies in the city. After several incidents where excessive force may or may not have used, Halleck has been given (ordered) leave to journey to the grave of his misbegotten father. He has been in correspondence with another of Wyrmslayer’s bastard son in a town a day’s travel from Critwall who is also going to visit the grave. Halleck will have time to reevaluate his place in the world and where the will of the Lawmaster will take him.
